Double the love <3 If you donate between now and Nov. 25th one of our amazing sponsors will match your donation up to 1000 euros!!!
This is the time of year we usually run out of funding and are very limited in the work we can do... it's so frustrating because it is also the time of year that volunteers are more available. With the help of you and one of our sponsors we can keep trapping and sterilizing so that we will have fewer abandoned newborns and fewer unwanted cats being born into a life of hardship and cruelty. Please donate what you can and help us to meet our goal! <3 <3 Paypal to email@example.com or for other methods visit our website care4catsibiza.org/donate/... See MoreSee Less
This is a desperate appeal from the heart on two counts. Princess is the most beautiful, friendly cat. She is around 3 years old and was born near a colony cared for by one of our loyal volunteers. We suspect the mum probably introduced her kittens to the colony to keep them fed and safe. All were neutered as soon as they were old enough and one sibling still survives there. It's an amazing and well cared for large colony. If you look at the photos - some from a few months ago and some more recent of Princess - you will see that it's a very lovely place for them to live. Apologies for the extra photo that shows no cats. It is actually a haven for hedgehogs that stay there every winter thanks to the facilities built by the amazing colony feeders. However, this is about Princess. She is a such a beautiful, young cat but if we are trying to trap a feral cat for neutering or because it is sick we have to pick her up and pop her in a carrier first otherwise she just walks into the traps and eats all the food. One photo has been included that shows Princess very happily eating supper at the colony. Very sadly, she recently became trapped in a closed hotel. Her leg was caught in a swing door and she tried desperately to free herself but couldn't. Fortunately somebody heard her cries eventually and located person with keys to allow our volunteer access. Princess has suffered a fractured leg but she has also suffered severe nerve damage as she was trapped for a few days. She has now spent two weeks in the veterinary surgery. They had hoped that the nerve damage may improve but that is looking unlikely. So returning her to a colony is not an option. Probably she will lose her left front leg but three legged cats are much more able than a cat with three good legs and one that doesn't function. Fortunately she is super loving and friendly and gets on so well with other cats (and actually non aggressive dogs too). Firstly, we are appealing for donations towards her surgery to give her a chance but also, as she is so loving, we are appealing for someone very special to take on this young cat and give her the love she so deserves. Will anyone give her a loving home? ... See MoreSee Less
Sometimes this work is soooooo frustrating!!! We have a sweet little family of a mum and 3 kittens, away from any homes or businesses... their presence keeps the rats and mice away from the rubbish bins nearby... they had a nice tidy little feeding station and now someone has gone there and removed it and left broken glass shattered everywhere... even in the food bowls! What is wrong with people???????? 😪😡 ... See MoreSee Less
Fiona DouglasWhat is wrong with people I get so frustrated at people who do this just because they don't like cats/animals. They have no idea the pain they are causing they need it done to them. That would soon stop them doing this.

Did you know, or do you care? Another reason to not snatch up kittens and leave momcat behind, (unspayed to give birth again). Cats release a hormone called oxytocin while giving birth. It helps to facilitate birth and the flow of milk, and it also is a key component in the creation of the maternal bond. Oxytocin creates the rush of intense emotion that happens when a mother sees her baby for the first time, which is, as some mothers have told me, "the most intense love I’ve ever known." And when you pull those kittens, she will cry and search for hours or days. Even if you don’t believe cats are intelligent, you’ve got to imagine that they have feelings. Even if those feelings are only what scientists refer to as "basic emotions," love is by all means a basic emotion. So just stop being cruel. ... See MoreSee Less
